My sons and I have been entrusted with a treasure of materials from one of the most effective communicators of the Gospel we have ever heard. Those who are hurting need access to the message of Jesus; they need to know they are not alone. The Gospel must be proclaimed in relevant and compelling ways that reach people where they are.
In the years since Howard’s death I have felt compelled to share this treasure of words. I closely witnessed over our 43-year marriage the inspired “labor and delivery,” as I called it, of these messages of hope. Our vision for this website is to touch hearts and transform lives through proclaiming the living Word of God.
The mission is two-fold. First is to inspire people to live, not merely survive. Second is to educate people to communicate passionately the transforming power offered in Jesus Christ.
This website is one of the strategies to help accomplish the mission. It is a work in progress and I am so grateful to those who invest their time and energy into this project. David Jean, Frank Grisham, Anita Booker, and Lisa Liston have given technical support. A team has been recently formed to read sermons and identify tags or keywords. Thank you Buddy Benedict, Jerry Carr, Robert Davis, John Frame, Frank Grisham, Paula Grout and Bob Moore for your willingness to help with the Search capabilities of the website.
As this journey unfolds, my utmost desire is to live my life as God would want and to give Him all the glory.
